Dad and OH have just taken him to vets, they carried him out to the car in his bed. As although my vet is right across the road, typically the on call vet is about a 10 minute car journey away. I will let you all know as soon as I do what is sadi . Thanks so much everyone for being there. x

Ben just back. The vet thinks he has damaged the nerves and softtissue in his back which means he has no feeling in his back legs as she was able to push his paw back to rest it on his "nuckles" which apparently a dog would normally pull away from also there was no reaction when "tickling" the hair between his pads.

He therefore has no control over how he walks as he can't fell how much or little pressure he is putting on his paws. And he will also be in pain with the muscle/softtissue damage.

He was given Meloxidyl and Loxicom (injection) and Buprecare. He also has painkillers to take from tomorrow and has to go see his own vet on Tuesday. (have to make an appt) No walks for a week, no play time and less food.

When he does go out out on a very short lead and no stairs have to use a ramp (have large piece of wood that will go over 3 steps to back yard to make a gentle slope.

Gee what a start to today I have just poured myself a cup of cofee. Thanks so much guys for being there xx
