Arrests in Ireland re Carlow puppy farm.

Nb the photos are upsetting. http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/t...rm-688388.html Briefly Gardaí investigating alleged animal cruelty at a farm in Co Carlow have arrested a man and two women during an operation this morning.
All three, who are aged in their 40s, are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Carlow Garda Station.
The investigation commenced in April of this year when 351 dogs and 11 horses were removed from a farm in Co Carlow.
Glad the Gardai got their act together this time.

Lets hope they get banned from keeping animals for life.
At the moment there is so much attention on European puppy breeders sneaking dogs into the country that the puppy farming in Ireland has been forgotten by most.

It is easy in rural Ireland to be hidden, Dorrit. So many farms and houses deep in the country. There was one a while ago; a farmhouse had caught fire three weeks before and the couple died and it was all that time before they found the house.
