I've just found this thread when I logged on now.

What a frightening thing for you all to have to go through. I hope they are both feeling better by the end of today. I would imagine that this damn heat doesn't help either of them feel too good either.

Fingers crossed for speedy recoveries and peace of mind for you.

xx

Hope everythings still going in the right direction Jenny, the vet would have them in I'm sure if he had any qualms about them going downhill.
Remember when Cariad was so poorly and I just wanted her to be her norty self again, then when she was I thought what did I wish for? Well that will be you in a day or so.

Just checking on an update, poor Flash, he sounds really bad, I'm so sorry Jenny, but having had more jabs, I'm sure he'll make a turnaround soon. You feel so blooming helpless don't you when they're like this, but you've done everything you possibly can,it's now a waiting game until their bodies fight it.

Is this a virus then or something really nasty they've ingested. I don't like the sound of all that gas, but I do remember Zena being like that once as a puppy, you could almost hear her tummy in another room it was so loud. I suppose all that bacteria in the gut causes a lot of gas. Poor boys, let's hope they can sleep off the worst and want to eat tonight maybe. Good luck with the water syringeing Jen and I do hope dear little Flash perks up a bit for you. I bet he's getting lots and lots of cuddles atm, along with Rucksack.

Keep your chin up Jenny, we're all here for you.xxxxx

Just got back in and had to have a look to see how the boys are doing.

Thanks again all of you.

Flash is still like a ragdoll but is just asleep which is the best thing for him. No more blood, sickness or other from him at least.
Rucksack was very sick again but less blood this time. Both have eaten a teaspoonful of cooked white fish and kept it down. Just a waiting game now but they certainly are nothing like as bad as during the night. I feel so sorry for them though as its so blooming hot. They are confined (with me) to the kitchen which has a cold tiled floor, no sun in here and the fan on and the double doors open on to a section of balcony.

Helena - No not a virus something but that Flash ingested and then got this huge bacterial build up which he's kindly past on to Rucksack in his bodily fluids.
The only time they move is when they see me going towards them with the syringe. Lol

The vet has just phoned me again to see how they are - nice man.

Just come back in myself and checking up to see how things are.
If they are taking evasive action when you approach with a syringe that's a good sign, its when they don't move whatever is going on that is the big worry.
Your vet sounds lovely, and so very concerned
