Redness on edge of nostril

Cain has had red on the edge of his nose for a while now. When he got his pyoderma, it got a little scabby but cleared up with the antibiotics. At the time the vet noticed it and said it was often a sign of an underlying infection. The red has never really gone away and now I've noticed he has the same on the other side. Is it something to be worried about? Has anyone seen it before or know what it's is or what causes it?

Here's a photo taken a few months back when he had his pyoderma

I'd never even heard of pyeloma before and went off to google it.

I would go back to the vet to make sure the pyeloma had completely cleared up.

It's pydoderma

Thanks, but the vet said it was unrelated. it existed before he had his pyoderma. i'll mention it to my vet but she's on holiday for a few weeks and I don't want to keep contacting her over such little things - she'll think I'm a hypochondriac!

The right side has a tiny scab on it this morning. I've noticed that he has a habit of licking the end of his nose, I think it's an appeasement behaviour that he does when he's uncomfortable. He does it a lot too if he's on he lead and pulls a bit, I stop and stand still, he will lick his nose and then drop back next to me. As such his nose always seems to be quite wet. He has a couple of pink spots on his lips under his nose too.

Could this be being caused by the licking and then his wet nose being out in the cold and wind?

ETA: Cain sometimes gets a clear discharge from the right side running out if his nostril.
