Help with Dog Kennels

I am going on holiday in November ( this was booked before l lost my Bramble). I had planned that Bramble would be fine with my Mum.

My problem is that l have got a four months old puppy Willow. Willow is more than Mum can handle. I have never had to use kennels before and l don't really know where to start in looking for Kennels and what the requirments are.
can any body help me please.

Wouldnt the breeder have the puppy back while you are on holiday?

In my opinion, your pup is far too young to go into kennels

I've put pups as young as that in kennels, admittedly it was the kennels owned by his breeder, but he was none the worse for his stay.

You could try a petsitter that could home board your pup, that way your pup is in a home enviroment with all the household sights and sounds that he is familiar with.

My Mum will be at home so a pet sitter won't work l don't think, but thanks for the suggestion. Did look on a webb site for pet sitters only l am so far out in the countryside l think it would cost a bomb to get someone to come several times a day.

Thanks Becky l think l will see if my breeder can have her back but l think she is really busy at the moment.

When ever l have been away before there has always been a member of the family to look after my dogs. I have looked after there dogs for them. Rosie

It may be worth contacting your vets they might be able to put you on to someone, I know our vets have a nurse that works there that on the odd occassion will take a dog to her home and look after it while the owner is away for a small charge.
