I have met most breeds of dog in the flesh either at Earls Court or Crufts in Discover Dogs.

The ones I have not met in person are all the NI/BTD/Utonagon/CSV variants.

I have met most breeds at shows. Rarest maybe Slovakian rough haired pointer.

I am trying to think of what is rare? Saarloos I guess is the rarest breed I have met.

Depends on what you mean by "rare", if you mean by numbers, probably not.

If you mean by how often I have seen one, then yes!

Oh, and I thought all these "Wolf dogs" WERE breeds?!

There is certainly a lot of advertising on them, just like labradoodles!

I would tend to define rare by numbers in this country, but I guess others may have different definitions.

Without knowing the numbers of each breed in the UK, the question is impossible to answer then..............

What is the rarest breed in the UK?

No idea? I do know there are very few pure Saarloos in the county (crosses are a different matter!)
Not really looked into other rare breeds.

I probably tend to class something (personally) as rare until I have had one in training classes! (My personal scale )

Not many Catahoulas? I think there are some in this county though - have only heard of one pair?

Didn't someone one here import a pair of Chodsky pes?

I'd imagine they are pretty rare as well.
