Help with my sweetpeas

just thought i'd ask if anyone knows why the bottom half of my sweetpeas have gone yellow and straw-like but are green and bushy on the top and are about four feet tall. i've had two dozen flowers off them and have fed them with a general liquid fertiliser

I've grown sweetpeas for years and mine go like that too - I wouldn't worry about it - just keep watering and picking the flowers regularly - the more you pick the more will grow! I just love them!

I've just posted a pic of mine here (last post)

I've never had success in the past because they used to go all spindly but this time I kept pinching out the tendrils & I'm really pleased with my attempt.
I've picked loads of flowers off mine too & they just keep coming
