Oh dear, it's actually died on me!

Hellooooo!

Laptop connected to the Internet, so I'm back, and delighted to be - crikey, I've missed you all so much, sad and lonely person that I am

My old PC's motherboard has gone on the fritz. The pc is over six years old, so it's time for a new'un.

I've been and selected it - it's a Sony Vaio all in one touchscreen and I totally fell in love the minute I saw it. The screen is 24" and just 2" smaller than Jackie's TV .

It has a Terabyte HD (that's 1000 GB to you and me), a 2.93GHz processor and 4GB of RAM. I think that'll do - for now, anyway

Cost was £1099 which is £1500 less than the broken one cost me

It'll be in on Friday and the shop are going to transfer my data from the old HD to the new one, so I've lost nowt - phew!

So, I shall be whizzing about at fantastic speed by Saturday, hopefully. until then, please excuse my typos - I hate this laptop's stoopid keyboard - aaarrrggghhhh!

ooh Vicky, I'd completely missed that you were having problems

Glad to hear that you'll all sorted again now - your new machine sounds sooo swish. (touch screen would be useful for me as it would soon be covered in chocolatey finger marks )

Its so funny changing between a laptop keyboard and a normal one isn't it - I use a laptop all the time, but if I ever do have to use a normal one now, I keep missing all the keys with my fingers because they are spread out too far

So glad to see you back

My PC died a month or so ago, I felt like I'd lost my arm waiting for my new one to arrive
