Well the kids kept up with the pester power for awhile, but I didn't give in. I explained to them about how the dogs love to hunt and chase things and it wouldn't be fair on the GP. I told them how you lot told me the shock might kill the poor things if we had them. They have also seen the dogs catch, kill and eat birds; which they think is great, but when I pointed out it might also happen to GPs if we had them, they seen sense. (Thank goodness.)

I still get the odd whinge of "I'd LOVE a Guinea pig" but it's now quickly followed by "But I know it wouldn't be fair on the animals".
