British Army/Military use positive training methods?

I'm sure I saw they announced this recently but I can't find anything about it now - can anyone confirm this? Or am I going mad

Nice find Pam. I'm sure it was one of the crufts police dog displays where they said it. I'm half way through this one and at 8:22 in he says:

There's nothing ever done with these dogs that's going to hurt them, it's fun, for these dogs it's just fun fun fun.

Will watch the rest and see if he says anymore...

Edit: also at 20:14...

Again I must stress, the dogs are never, ever hurt in anyway shape or form in any of our training.

The police (rather than military) dogs I know have been trained positively for the past 15 years at least.

The police and the military have been using positive training methods for decades.

They are certainly the only methods that work on sniffer dogs!

Well that's what I was after - some confirmation that they don't use prong/pinch/e/collars etc

Do you have any links to where it is officially confirmed?
