She will start in any condition
even fallen in a resevoir (along with me) and still works perfectly after 10 glorious years

Before you charge them Stew-are you completly discharging them first???

If you dont completely flatten them-they will condition themselves to only holding half charge.This is the main problem with cordless tools and more commonly mobile phones.

With my Fuji digital camera I use the Fuji 2500 Rechargeable batteries, they are Ni-MH, never had any problems so far, even in cold weather.

In fact I've had the camera for 5 weeks now and haven't had to charge the batteries yet!
