How I did it! ( Unusual DIY solutions)

Well, sideways desperation.. kitchen sink keeps blocking.. vigorous use of the plunger eases it a little but still ssssssllllllooooooooooooww,, maddening... washing soda and boiling water? Does nothing... I had been sorting a flower jar and my eyes lit on a long thin leylandii twig I had used for greenery.. Heck, why not! Stripped it, poked it down the plughole and LO! Sink empties fast and easy, Who needs plumbers! My best tool is a twig.. any other easy fixes?

I use a twig or thin bamboo cane wrapped with a tissue or cotton wool dampened and kept on with a tight rubber band to do inbetween the radiators. Amazing what we come up with for jobs that need doing. Anyone else use odd things. I will tell my daughter about your twig for her drains and things.

Brilliant solutions Rosebud and Brenda.
Talking of radiators I put a damp cloth with a little fabric conditioner on it, on my radiators. Makes a very good air freshener when I have a soggy smelly doggy
