Nyx – 15 week old female Husky cross Malamute

Nyx is a 15 week old Husky cross Malamute and is currently on foster in Blackwood, South Wales. Nyx is a lovely, happy, confident, well socialised puppy. She has begun to go for walks and is learning to walk nicely on the lead. She is good with other dogs and could be rehomed with existing dogs or on her own. Nyx has not been in foster care with cats however she is young enough to learn. Care would have to be taken if she were to live with cats to ensure she did not learn about the thrill of the chase. The two breeds in her make up can have high chase drives and this would need to be considered. this would mean managing interactions closely at the first and using positive reinforcement methods to encourage calm, quiet behaviour.

Nyx is living with older children and is very well behaved with them She could be rehomed with children over the age of 5 years who have spent time with large breed dogs and would not be phased by a bouncy puppy who will play bite.

Like any puppy Nyx needs and thrives off company and direction. We do not rehome puppys to full time workers and any time she is left alone would need to be built up gradually so that she learns to be comfortable in her own skin and is happy to be without human company.

Adopters are responsible for having puppies neutered once they are old enough and this will be followed up as part of the guardianship agreement they enter into.

All puppies must also attend training classes, this will be followed up also. If you do not know of training classes in your area please research this before applying to ensure you can comply with this element of the adoption

Please note we will not rehome puppies to full time workers.

Due to Nyx’s mix of breeds we would prefer to rehome her to people who are used to large breed dogs. Preferably the northern breeds such as huskys and malamutes so that they are aware of the breeds specialist care.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from Hope Rescue and should be returned to Hope Rescue.
