Cole - 4 Year Old - Male Greyhound

Introducing the stunningly handsome Cole, a beautiful white and black boy with a lovely personality to match. Cole is just 4 years old and measures approximately 28" to the shoulder. Just another unwanted greyhound rendered useless and homeless. But not anymore! Cole is now on the lookout for his very own loving forever family so please apply if you have that special 'Cole shaped hole' in your life!

Location: Currently in kennels in Suffolk. Cole would benefit hugely by living in a foster home while he waits for his forever home.
Key Points: Very handsome, bouncy, friendly, confident, affectionate, loves people, good both on the lead and in the car.

~ Personality ~
Cole is a LOVELY boy who will make a family very happy. Unfortunately he was bitten badly by another dog so prefers the company of dogs that are quiet and gentle as his confidence has understandably taken quite a knock.

~ In the Home ~
Sadly Cole hasn't yet experienced being in a home environment but keeps his kennel very clean indeed and is a bright boy so will respond well to basic training and learning the ropes in a home environment. It generally takes hounds 10-14 days to start to settle in a home, and really all they need is time and patience.

~ Other Animals ~
Cole is a really nice boy who, as mentioned beforehand, has had his confidence shaken. He hasn't had much contact around small dogs but gets on well with gentle quiet dogs.

~ Out and About ~
Cole loves being out and about on his walks and is good both on the lead and in the car. Like most greyhounds Cole will not need a huge amount of exercise. He will be content with two 30+ minute walks and some garden play time each day and perhaps a chance to stretch his legs off lead in a safe area away from public roads and livestock once or twice a week.

~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
We feel Cole would be happiest in a fairly quiet family and as an only dog if someone is home most of the time or with a very quiet and gentle companion(s). He can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a home checker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect him. Please also note we do NOT home dogs to families with children under the age of 8 years.

~ Where Am I? ~
Cole is currently in kennels in Suffolk. He would benefit so very much from a chance to live in a foster home and Kerry Greyhounds UK is always eager for new foster volunteers. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.
