Our old Bullmastiff was the same price as the males, so it varies from different breeders.

I think its absolutely right that people buying "PETS"" should be put off breeding, but I don't think charging more for bitchs would achieve this, , if they're buying for breeding stock, then surely they'll pay the extra any way, call me sceptical if you like, but I think maybe its a way for to pocket a bit more cash.
As crazy cockers says, breeding restrictions are a good idea, they're more effective and fairer way to do it.

I agree with you Robert. If anything, charging more will encourage breeding in my opinion because people will think, well, I've paid extra for it, I may as well.
