Great you bought a digital camera! Now you can post tons of pics of them as they progress. This will be cool

i do handle them--they had there 1st nail trim 2 days ago--they get weighed daily too, :smt096 the dams great and trusts me with them, i often pic them up while sitting in the box with them,
at around 4 weeks i start stacking them up on a table. :smt023 and looking in mouths etc, my pups have to be amongst the most handled ever. :smt003 i dont let anyone else do it though until around 3-4 weeks, by then the dam isnt as clingy.

I heard handling them was important, but my brother's girlfriend breeds mini dachsunds, and she hardly handled them at all

its extremely important in cats! We handled our last litter like mad,,, only thing is,,, we got really attached to them but becuase of all the renovations we had to find homes for them aww i miss em :smt005
