Staffordshire bull terrier returns after 5 years

T-bone the Staffordshire bull terrier disappeared in 2006 during a power cut. His owners the Oates family from Birmingham, always suspected that he had been stolen and they have never given up hope that he would be found.

T-bone was discovered aboard the number 37 bus that travels between Solihull and Birmingham by the bus driver.
After a check over from a vet it was discovered he was microchipped and Mr Oates received the news that his family’s beloved dog had been found.
Mrs Oates said "He always loved going on car journeys and would come along with us on long journeys all the time.
"He could sit gazing out of the window all day long."

T-bone had been badly neglected by the thieves and has had to undergo expensive treatment for an untreated cyst on his leg.

Most of been a shock when they said he had returned! So glad for the family, I hope the thieves get tracked down, but I doubt that
