Record number of Champions?

I'm wondering what the record is for the largest number of UK Champions is in any one litter of any breed?

The reason I'm asking is that one of my best friends had a litter and 5 of the 6 puppies were made up.

Last year one of the people who'd had one as a pet decided to have a go at showing her (the bitch was 7 1/2 by then ). Well she got the ticket at SKC this year - then her second at the Club Show (with BIS!) and yesterday at LKA she won BOB and the single CC at the age of 8 1/2!

This makes 6 UK Champions from a litter of 6 I wondered if this was a record?

I think this was in the dog papers in the last couple of years. I think there was a Welsh Springer litter that was similar. Contact people from the dog press (I can't remember which one it was in, possible dog world) and let them print it!

I think it sounds promising certainly! our breeder had 10 champions out of one bitch (dont think it was the one litter tho i'd have to ask)..

I agree with Becky, i'd contact Dog World and the likes and ask them to print the story. That is a lovely achievement for your friend!

I'm with Mutz ryule on this even iif not a record a marvellous achievement and congratulations to the breeder.Also as Becky says the Dog Press should be able to tell you what the record is .

Well I guess the front page of Dog World this week gives me my answer

I thought six Chs might be close to the top but neither my friend nor I realised it was an all time, all breed record! She's flabbergasted that after 30+ years in the breed she's made the front page
