Daily Thread, Friday, 16th November, 2018

Good Morning everyone. I trust you and your four legged friends are doing well.

LG wonderful that scouts babies are doing well and I like the names Mem has given them. Has Fagan met them yet and has it cheered him up?

Lynn are you finding yourself yet, it does take time to get straight but I am so pleased that you are happy with the place.

Have a good day all, keep warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

Good morning all,
Moyra - glad you like the names (personally wasn't very sure about Doris) but the Mem assures me it is a biblical name, apparently King Herod's wife was called Doris. Mind you, look at all the awful things he got up to! lol !
Brenda you must have the same sleep patterns as myself, although it probably does me little good sitting at a computer in the wee small hours. I do though now have the distraction of watching the puppies wiggle about under mum. They currently look like little fat moles, black velvety coats with tiny waves but their coats and colouring will change swiftly as they start to grow up
Ref - Has Fagin seen them yet? Moyra this is best avoided as their mum would be unimpressed with a big wet nose being poked at her babies and I feel sure she would attempt to take it off!!! They are currently in my bedroom and Fagin never comes into the upper reaches of the house but they will be moved downstairs at around three weeks of age and tentative introductions can then be made. I'm not at all worried about the big fella's reaction to them as he will doubtless believe they are his own offspring and treat them accordingly. It is Scout I'm bothered about, she has really taken to this motherhood lark and would, I am sure take umbrage at this early juncture. Not to worry I have plenty of time for all that sort of thing and will not rush introductions but will do my level best to have all pups fully socialised, vaccinated etc before they set out on their new lives, so that they get off to the best possible start,
I am now in danger of becoming a puppy bore! So will shut up and wish you all a good day and it is as always, bye fer now.

Gordon, no chance of you becoming a puppy bore, I know I can speak for us all on here I am sure that we all want to keep up to date as far as scout and her babies are concerned. Thank you.

Morning all

Damp and cloudy this morning.

Nothing planned for today other than the normal day to day stuff. George is on one, and has nearly got himself quashed by cars this morning, he went out the front, very rarely do our cats venture out the front, but he decided to sit in the road got spooked and then froze, O/H called him when there were no cars and he came in through the lounge window.

I went and started my voluntary work this week and must say I really enjoyed it. My back held up well, I was worried about that and my feet were done by the end of the day but as always it will pass when you get back into the swing of things!

Porch looks good tumbleweed and you can come clean up my leaves if you like, we have loads all over the garden, but am waiting till the remaining leaves fall.

Gordon Lovely to hear about the pups, little timewasters I call them you can sit and watch them for hours and wonder where the time went. One thing I wish I could have done is take a litter from Meg, but it wasn't mean't to be.

Lynn Hope you are settling in now and Dillon is settling down x

Have a good day all x

Good morning everyone

Love the names Gordon and no you will not bore us with puppy talk. Such lovely time wasters but oh the joy of just sitting looking at them

Pleased you enjoy the voluntary work and hope it will lead to some paid work for you Sal.

Horribly misty damp day here which has put paid to getting the porch finished . Still forecast is better for tomorrow..Have swept yet more leaves from the front but will leave his lordship to blow the back garden too big and too many leaves for me to sweep.

Hope you are now seeing the light of day from boxes Lynn.

Hope all two and four legged are well

Have a good day and stay safe.

Ah Gordon haven't slept properly since before losing Tyto as he had to sleep downstairs as they were becoming a problem to him. Now 6 weeks on from losing him I still don't sleep properly. Have fun with your new babes. x have a good weekend all.

Evening everyone. Had some internet issues long story short I spent over an hour sorting a new sim on a device Beth has lent us and we are now back.

Settling in nicely thank you Moyra and must say Dillon is far more relaxed not listening to people's footsteps past the living room window every 5 minutes and cars and vans.

Gordon glad to hear the pups and mum are doing well. Never a puppy bore.

Thank you Norma for the card from yourself and the muppetts it was a lovely surprise.

I hope everyone and all four legged friends are well today.
