No slabs yet Lynn
I hope the survey valuation is true...my dad can't believe you can buy a place like yours for such a reasonable price!

We've quietened down a bit now. Gary is in his flat - he refuses point blank to come here as he can't remember the fit - and Dave has gone to the hospital for his respiratory appointment. I've finished my tax return and submitted it so hopefully a couple of hours to myself now (bliss)

The only worry is if Gary has another fit and takes off as I don't have a car available until Dave gets back from his appointment, but, everything crossed, it won't happen

Hope they turn up soon griff.
Prices to do with work and connection to London griff. Littleport where Gorden goes from always has parking available and it's cheaper to park there to and mostly goes straight into Kings cross.
Sometimes you have to change at Cambridge. Journey time depending how many stops usually 1.5 hours.
House prices there dearer as with Ely and Cambridge and Downham Market. All have stations where as we don't you have to drive 20 mins plus.

Chris do hope Gary will be ok. I am sure he will and that you get your bit of downtime.

Most villages round here are semi or rural. Main jobs being in agriculture or retail.
Wisbech our nearest town about 9 miles away if that once had a station and there is talk about reopening the line then house prices here would rocket more than they have done like the the outlying villages that already have stations.

Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of Cambridge still cheap to buy though compared to where you live and London and Essex. Lincolnshire even cheaper.
that's why so many Londoners and people from Essex retire here they can get good properties and have money in the bank.
