How do I allow sites ??

I've recently installed a new modem and now I can't access some sites -Msn,Myspace and a few others ... when I click on them nothing happens at all ...what can I do ? is there some way of allowing them ???

Installing a modem shouldn't make any difference.

Try going to google, finding them in there and clicking on then that way.

AZZ is right installing the modem wouldn't of done this but software that came witht he modem might that you installed for the modem might be the cause of the blocked sites.

What modem have you installed?

Maybe the new modem has a built in integral firewall especially if its wireless and you might have to configure the settings to allow the sites to be accessed.

Its a belkin..it just seems strange that I can't get access certain sites ..I can't get on any microsoft sites or couple of travel sites

check your security settings throught the firewall, it could have changed and blocked some sites.
the modem itself shouldn't have changed even if you have changed the way that you connect up.

msn has been upgraded so if you havent got the latest it wont connect on the old one.

I've tried it with the firewall and without the firewall - I've got the windows firewall turned off and I've entered the sites as allowed in internet options -Its doing my 'ed in now

So your saying you can enter the sites with the xp firewall off?

If thats the case then it's down to the firewall bloccking the sites.

You could create a new user/ profile and see if you get any problems veiwing the sites your having problems with.
