Pugs - Pup being stolen

I thought it worth alerting on here that there appears to be a spate of thefts, including one terrible agravated burgalry where a very young pup was taken.

Links are to Doglost charity page or news articles:

There are some others, but I have no further information to link to. Just be aware if offered any and if you have Pugs they seem to be being targeted.

I feel for the first owner, well for both owners obviously I really do but why on earth were they allowing viewing of pups that are only 3 weeks old, they say themselves they're not yet weaned so what's the rush. I'm also guessing they didn't thoroughly vet these people before allowing them access.
I have 3 Pugs but I'm not going to get paranoid about them being pinched though.
