What DO YOU

Look for in a ideal partner ,Imac thread got me thinking ,
I look for honesty,
Kindness,good looks .
Some one who is caring compassionate,
Someone who is not afraid to show there feelings
Sensitivity ,and some one who is not ashamed to show a sensitive side .
Someone who like to show affection.
Someone who like to go walking ,(ie treking or rambling )
Someone who is passionate about animals .

What i do not like is jealousy,
possesiveness
Someone who is just intersted the physical side (ie sex )
Or someone who is selfish
and not open minded to other people opinons

Not much hope for me finding someone with all my requirements

So come on you peeps .tell us yours xxdk

Not long after my ex-husband left me, my dad and stepmum came up with a list of things that I had to look for in a new potential partner .
  • Must be in the 25-35 age bracket (they felt that an older partner would therefore be emotionally more mature)
  • Must be capable of discussing their feelings rationally and openly
  • Must have a good sense of humour and be outgoing and personable (I'm quite shy and quiet, and I need someone more outgoing to give me confidence)
  • Must love me unconditionally and be understanding of my health problems.
  • Must either live in the country, or prefer to live in a rural area to a busy town
  • Must be prepared to muck out the occasional stable and accept that horses are part of my life (my ex hated them )
  • Must be good with animals (again, I had real issues with my ex over pets)
  • Must have a good level of education/intelligence (I was bored of men with more teeth than braincells )
  • Must have similar interests to me (my ex and I kept different hours and had completely different activities - there was nothing we did together)

My current OH ticks all the boxes, and I was proud to be able to tell them so before I introduced them. We have such similar tastes in movies, music, TV, books and we love discussing movies when we've watched them (what we liked/disliked about it, and having a good debate). The only thing he lacks is a job and a decent income, but no one's completely perfect .
