I cycle up a farm track near us, but I have to go up a road to get there. He's on his lead just for that little bit and that's when he pulls me...he goes off lead for the rest

We tried jogging with them, but neither of them have any understanding of pace (cos they're Boxers!) they just hare off at top speed...

The thought of being tied to one of them going downhill makes me shiver! They've both sped down sheer embankments before now at breakneck speed!

Max can pace a galloping horse on the beach for over a mile - a bit like a carriage dog without the carriage!!

Nope, I prefer to sit and watch them running round, not be attached to them!

I'm with Isochick on this one! I hate running so far rather watch the dogs go than join in!

But the easiest part you guys haven't grasped.
You actualy don't have to run. You simply have to lift one feet after the other
the dog does the rest

Try Roller Skates!
I remember as a child being pulled over by a dog and I refused to let go of the lead until it ran through that muddy puddle lol!

For CaniX, all dogs MUST be on leads. The only style of muzzle is the greyhound style one (so dogs can still pant). The idea is that the dogs runs in front if possible. A harness can be worn so that the dogs pull the owner. There are several groups according to the age of the human, and number of dogs (2 max). There is 2.5km, 5km and 'have a go.'

The dogs don't generally fight as there are staggered starts, with around 15 seconds in between. It then takes around 2 hours after all the runners are in for the times to be calculated. There is Burns dog food for the winners, with a year supply at the end of the season for class winners.

There's an absolutely brilliant atmosphere at events, with many camping (although that's not for me, the travellodges are fine!), and the regulars all begin to recognise each other, although mostly by the dogs names!

All breeds can take part as long - my border terrier cross parson russell loves it; he's he one that tries to howl along with the huskies - unsuccessfully.

Any other questions about CaniX and I'll try and answer them!
