Yo, early-retired Civil Servant (ex Employment Service), nowhere near "official" retirement age! Disabled, however

Formerly lived in Edinburgh, now in Orkney, two mad Border Collies who are half-brothers (and also uncle and nephew ). The BCs run the house, and are very gracious in allowing us to feed them and generally make their lives luxurious

Only claim to fame lies in having been at school with Tony Blair and at Uni with Alistair Darling. Neither of these "connections" have ever done me the slightest good.

No other pets at the moment, as space prohibits, but in the past, have had another BC and four Cocker Spaniels, several newts, a goldfish and a guinea pig. Oh yes, and a tame, hand-reared woodpigeon. Tried to rear an abandoned kitten (3 weeks or so), but it died despite best efforts.

Still trying to persuade Mrs S that a third BC would be a good idea, but she's not fooled!

Snorri
