O.K. I am bracing myself for ya all laughing at me but this is what I did to Zoi a few times and it worked LOL. When called she would not come to me or even look in my direction so I walked off and left her were she was and hide on her. She finally deceided to go looking for me and when she could not find me she was frantic. I let her suffer for a bit and then came strolling out of my hiding spot and now she never takes her eyes off me. :smt023

When we first let Mia off lead in a public place, she didnt know what to do, she was so tempted to just run and have fun but then i think she got scared and stuck to me like glue, i had to run around the park like a headless chicken so she would chase me, god was i getting some funny looks off people, at one point Mia just sat there looking at me as if to say, 'you need'nt think i'm running round cos you look really stupid' ops:

AZZ you could try getting someone to hold Rocky and walking away then calling him back and forth between the two of you.

Bon's method worked for me, and also calling the dog, and turning in the opposite direction and running away like Moo said

We have leash laws where I am, but I let the dogs run at the beach if nobody is there. I used to let them walk off lead on the street but some of the neighbors got a little nervous
