I'm quite a connoissoir of chips ... I don't have any fish with mine, occasionally have a cheese and onion pasty or onion rings but usually just chips.

Now there are two ways I enjoy mine...if they are being eaten out of the paper "al fresco" I think its called,then it has to be chip shop salt and vinegar for me. However,if its at home then for some reason its just brown sauce and no salt I also like sharing a portion of chips when out, seems to make them taste better

I wouldn't ever have curry sauce, have never tried it but don't fancy it,and gravy on chips just doesn't seem right...no, couldn't do that. Cheese and chips sounds good, especially with a bit of salad to go with it

I had never seen anybody put gravy on their chips till I moved up here As for curry sauce?? I don't get it

Chips and gravy must be a northern thing, there was cockney chippy owner when I was at collage and would look like you were from another planet when you asked for it.

Curry sauce is brilliant as well, hotter the better.

First time I was offered, gravy with it.. I thought are you deranged

Don't even get me started on Mushy peas... Vile

A good old North , South divide is still alive as far as food is concerned

I like my chips with - salt, vinegar and tom sauce but I am very partial to chips and cheese. How can cheese ever be wrong???

Now that is wrong, cheese on burgers not hotdogs.
What about mustard on hotdogs, some people think Im daft for it but its really nice.
