Oh Northumberland is a lovely county ... but you will have to sway hubby by telling him all the benefits we get up here in Scotland that you don't get in England - free prescriptions, free child nursery places, no University tuition fees etc.

And depending on where you live in the Borders, Northumberland is not that far away anyway. I am only an hour from being in Northumberland in one direction.

(Sorry for hijacking this thread H! )

Dave has now decided he might be a porn star and just work once a month!!!!
OOh where is the garage/big house in Scotland? Let's have a looky Would you really considering moving North? You would certainly get alot more for your money.

LOL @ Dave!

Oi! I'm from South Yorkshire. I lived about half an hour away from Rother Valley Country park and Ulley country park. But I agree - the area wasn't so nice - Doncasters nice though - that first house is GORGEOUS!

I want to move a couple of doors down - look at this:

I have a bigger garden though..

The Isle of Skye is a dream location H, but unfortunately it rains an awful lot and the midges are hell in summer It looks great too! You may be able to put up with the rain and midges for the scenery though

It depends on where in Yorkshire you live i live in North Yorkshire and the property prices vary depending on the area. South yorks if def cheaper.....depends on the type of life style you want really. York is a fantastic city btw. Good luck with your house hunting. Xxxxxx

I'd put up with a hurricane living with a view like that!!! I just streetviewed it, and it's overlooking Dunvegan Loch, hence the name of the garage! Oh it looks lovely, I'm gonna have to show Dave that one tonight!

I might continue searching in that area now, since you said it's a nice area, it sounds a tourist hot spot too, so there's lots of scope! Thanks for that Kirsty, but will we still be able to walk together (not when it's snowed of course!!!! )
