ONJ's royalties (from the book) go to her Cancer and Wellness Centre, too - which makes it doubly worth it.

One of the things I have started to look at at cookery books, is how healthy the author looks! If they look unhealthy then I think I'd rather steer clear from the food/recipes that got them that way

Anyway, Livwise seems to be about healthy eating, particularly as many of it's recipes come from a health spa - which appeals to me.
Azz - is this the one that you want?

Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey.....

Didn't see any pictures of the finished dish, but there were some beautiful pictures of ONJ in her garden picking her herbs/veggies. It looks a really nice book.

I do love student cook books

I also have the Indian cook book Vicki has, as my OH is a big fan of Indian food (despite India being in my blood, I'm not as keen lol!)

Do love many of Delia Smith's recipes, and have used a few of Jamie Olivers in the past.

The one I always refer to is Delia's complete cookery course, which I think is a reprint from the 70s. There is everything you need to know in it. I also use a 70s one which is brilliant. So easy to use and such simple recipes.

There are four (I think) of the Covent Garden Soup recipe ones - they're really really good for soups (obviously) and I haven't had a dud yet out of them.

Didn't buy 'em - just photocopied all the interesting sounding recipes off my mother-in-laws.

I'm not a cook so I tend to rely on what it says on the back of the packet rather than a cook book

For cakes, you cannot beat Mary Berry's recipes. I have made some very yummy cakes including a lemon drizzle and a coffee sponge cake AND the best of all, very squidgy chocolate brownies!!
