My first solo dinner

Normally I have help but this weekend I cooked a Roast chicken, homemade yorkie puds and Aunt Bessie helped with the potato side (I got grounded once for not peeling potatoes - I did say I'd rather be grounded than peel - just something about them!)

Anywho my friends loved it - I even got a "I'm quite surprised you can cook Aimee, it was lovely" - wow thanks!

And for desert, homemade strawberry icecream, with star shaped jellies and strawberries and cream Wish I'd taken a picture of it all for you now..

My timing was off - the chicken had to be microwaved in the end, my Mum told me it was 20 mins per pound + 20 mins, MIL said it was 25 mins per KG +25 mins and the packet said 40 mins - it was cooked and everyone enjoyed it though except the dogs to their disappointment..
