Grass coming through slabs

I've neglected my garden a bit lately, as a result I've got grass coming up between some of the slabs on my small patio area, I've tried weedkiller and pathclear but nothing worked.
It needs a makeover really, but I'm starting with the slabs
Anyone any ideas?

I know it sounds tedious and a pain but i would try and loosen thr grass with a knife then gentlytry and pull it out hopefully getting the roots as well

Nah, it works for weeds in cracks as well!

Get down on your knees and do it by hand / knife.

A Glyphosate based weedkiller should have worked though providing the rain stayed off following application. Did you wait long enough for it to work ? It can take a good few days.

Depending on the size of the cracks you can always brush a sand / cement mix into them once they're clear.

Best and quickest acting weedkiller i've found isnt a weedkiller at all...its graffiti remover i have in my van.I sprayed a load of weeds one morning before i left for work and when i returned 8 hours later they were brown and shrivelled up!!! Gawd knows what it does to my hands then....

The best weedkiller for driveways and patios though is sodium chlorate which sadly was banned by the EU last year.It was dead cheap and would kill anything from a dandelion to an oak.

Well, I hit on a kind of solution, I sent my son out for 1hr with a pointy L shaped knife device I bought in the pound shop, obviously he is a lot better than me than getting grass out, and all it cost me was a can of coke and a mars bar
I still can't shift the really big bit of grass between a couple of the slabs so I am going to try boiling water tomorrow, once the rain goes off.
On the plus side, the 1 remaining lilly plant that the foxes hadn't dug up has flowered and is just lovely
