£5000 for a dog, I've seen it all now!

I cannot believe the advert I've just read advertised for sale:-

£5000 -solid blue male frenchy pup for sale kc reg no endorsements. will come vet checked with first vaccination. both parents can be seen. email for more pics. deposits now being taken

This advert really hacked me off - not only was the photo of a very poor example of a Frenchie, they are obviously trying to cash-in asking this hugely inflated price. Frankly, I'm annoyed that the Kennel Club accepted the litter registration, saying as though the colour is (in their own words) highly undesirable!

KC Breed Standard states French Bulldogs should be...

Colour
Brindle, pied or fawn. Tan, mouse and grey/blue highly undesirable.

I noticed there was another 'breeder' openly selling puppies and bragging that they are the blue gene carriers
It is so sad, there are already too many poorly bred pups for sale without health-checks being done on them, now it seems they are trying to inflate their pockets further by selling 'rare colours', which they are, because they aren't recognized!!

oh crickey.

I wonder if it would do any good to email the advert to the Kennel Club? I suspect not, though I guess nothing ventured, nothing gained?

I guess they could still register the litter if only one was of a highly undesirable colour? The advert doesn't say how many, but seems to contadict - on the one had saying 'pup' implying one...but then saying 'deposits' implying more than one (unless they are taking deposits of more than one person for a single pup??)

I think the most my Aunt ever sold one of her OES (which she bred years ago) was for about £3,500 but that was because he had to go to Italy, had to have both injections, quarentine etc but the otehr pups sold for £1,500, in the UK.

But £5000 for a frenchie £450 is more acceptable for smaller dogs (IMO)

I'd expect a dog to poop gold for that price!
