Please meet Kate

This is new rescue ratty Kate. She came in a fish tank. She is lovely! She's shy but not nearly as 'wild' as she was made out to be, maybe when she settles we shall see her true colours, but for now she is just fine!

This is what she arrived in...

And this is her having an explore

She is just adorable! So need to look into getting her a wee friend methinks, don't agree with 'lone' rats.

Thank you Claire, she is incredibly pretty, the pics don't really do her much justice but I didn't want to overwhelm her on her first day!

She's so sweet. I'm glad her old owners had the sense to give her up - I'm positive she'll have a much better life with you

Thanks F, it was the owner's sister who persuaded her to give her up because she wasn't caring for her properly or even bothered about playing with her or handling her, novelty wore of, she's only 8 months old. So lucky she had someone sensible around! She said she wasn't even bothered when she went.

Thank you! She already has a choice of 2 boyfriends here lol! I can't wait to put their cages beside each other and see what the boys think of her! Going to pick her proper cage up today so she can get out of this tank, she has nothing even to climb on in there, she must have been so bored all the time!

Thank you! She is very cute!

She is much happier in her new cage, took her a while to figure out climbing, i'm thinking she will have been in a tank in the petshop she came from too so has probably never climbed in her life or had any toys or hidey holes or anything. So she is loving going up and down the shelves in her new cage and re-arranging it to her liking. She decided to put her soft bedding on the top shelf and then once she got it there she decided no, it was better at the bottom after all and shoved it all through the hole in the shelf, lol! I have also put her cage next to the boys cage and they are all very interested in each other and trying to kiss through the bars, it's very sweet! So hopefully she will feel she has a bit of company now 'til I get her a wee female friend to share her cage with.
