Going slightly mad....

Murphy was at the vets last night for his boosters, and on the way there, we had to go down a few back roads, as there were roadworks.

As my car was full of stuff, he was sat on the front seat (in a harness) and was sat like a person, looking forwards.

Our vets is near where we used to live, and we were sat at some traffic lights, waiting to go.

I said to him:
"We used to walk round here you know, when Max was little. But that was before you were born, wasn't it?"

Honestly, it's one thing talking to your dogs to ask them to do stuff, or babytalking them; but trying to have an actual conversation with one is surely a sign of impending madness....

Does anyone else say random things to their dogs and then realise that there will be no answer from them?

Good heavens no! I just carry on on a cogent and erudite line of reasoning out loud...and the dogs happen to listen.

I have a houseful of unwanted guests this Christmas and I fully intend to spend as much of it as possible in the woods having a chat with Max for that exact reason
