Built some furniture only to find one bit is upside down and now have to dismantle the whole bloody thing!

That happens to us regularly, Kelly. Upside down, wrong way round.

Where's that 5 year old that can follow the instructions easily when you want them?

I hate flat-pack furniture for that very reason

The difference is so minimal, I didn't work out what was wrong for 5 minutes. I am usually great with flat pack but this had about 60pieces

The last bed we got, guess who mixed up the screws? Unfortunately the one I mixed up popped through the top rail. I was in the bad books for weeks.

Very fortunately the bed is up against a wall and the offending bit of top rail is at the side nearest the wall so it doesn't show unless you know it's there.

Why can't they put screws in separate little packets instead of mixing 'em all up together and relying on numpties like me to sort em out

Lol... i get glasses and put the different screws in the different glasses with a a label and label all the parts before I begin..takes a bit of time to label everything but easier than trying to figure out which bit you want
