My misty whos 2years only started cocking his a couple of months ago although still i think when harveys not looking squats he only started cocking his leg when harvey came so i dont think he would have ever bothered but are old boys started cocking theres about 6 months old + just couldnt stop

both boys now cock their legs, Archie first which was when he came to us at 7 months... then Harvey followed a month later.

My JRT was cocking his leg full time by the age of 4 months, but he always has been a percocious (sp) little devil. That is very early and most my male dogs have started between 8 and 18 months, I have found my large breeds slower than the small ones.

Fingal goes 'girly style' and he's 7 years old.

He can cock the leg but very very rarely.

I have only ever had GSDs and ages ranged from 6mth to 18mth before cocking their legs, some dogs of the same breed take longer to reach maturity than others.

Tikaani was 6 months old which I thought was quite young as he wasnt brought up with male dogs around. He's all man except for his balls.

My toy poodle who's two and a half has never lifted his leg and niether has my o/h border collie, niether of these dogs are castrated, but my minature poodle who is castrated has been lifting his leg since he was about 11mths old.

My boy Sweep has never lifted his leg, he curtseys like a girl, always has and he is 11 yrs & 3mths old
