To show or not to show

I am hoping some one on here can tell what to do.

I am planning to enter my dogs into a whippet club open show in Feb. The problem is the dog judge owns my dog Owen's litter brother. She did not breed them. I have spoken to her at champ shows and she is aware that we own litter brothers. They are identical to the extent that I saw a photo of her dog in Dog World and at first glance thought it was Owen.

She also has other dogs bred by the same breeder as do I particulary a bitch i have which I know she likes.(She's only judging dogs so I'm all right to enter her)

I know that I can't enter under a dogs breeder and I never would but can I enter under some one that owns my dogs brother?

Lots of people enter under those circumstances every week.

Yes you can and should, if those in breeds with small numbers did not enter under someone owning a dog closely related to one of theirs then there would be no one making entries.

Thanks everyone i will enter him. I regulary show my lot and there is an open show 15 miles away from me the whippet show is about 2 hours drive away.

If I couldn't have entered Owen I would have gone to the open show nearer to home. The only problem with that show is the breed judge only has 3 classes so both my pups would have to go into junior which would be fun as I don't like to put them in the same class as they are naughty. The breed judge is also the B I S judge so if she didn't like them in the breed she wouldn't like them in the AV classes.

I think we are going for the 2 hour drive to the whippet show
