Massive Success

Yesterday I took Shady my dog fear aggresive, child fear aggresive and traffic fear aggresive girl out for a walk with my neighbour and her older quiet GSD and thier toddler in his buggy.
For the first 200yrds Shady was lunging at the GSD but then settled. By the time we got to a little track away from the road they both went off lead together and got on fine. Shady was even trying to get Lola to play, but Lola bless her just keeps plodding along as though Shady doesn't exist. She even ran up to my neighbours toddler and gave him a big wet slobber. They walked home beautifully together on the lead and when we got outside our houses Shady insisted on giving both Lola the GSD and toddler another big wet kiss .
It was such an achievement for my girl and she ended up very relaxed and happy.
We are going to do it once a week for 3 weeks and then try Shady with her younger GSD cocoa for a walk. Cocoa will want to play and jump over her though so not sure if she will cope with that, but perhaps a few more sessions with Lola for confidence and she will feel ok about it.
I'm so proud of my girl and so happy she has made herself a friend.

That's wonderful news.

And by reinforcing it with lots more positive walks it sounds like things can only be on the up
