We lost Kate.

Kate was our 17 year old collie cross GSD. She had a severe heart issue and a bad leg after a car accident. We'd had her a year due to a family berevement.
She developed pancreatitis a couple of weeks ago, but we tried to manage it with out dripping due to her heart. At the beginning of the week we had to drip her, she collapsed at the vet, last night and we had to finally call it a day.
Just gutted, she was such a sweet, stoic dog who everybody loved. Our next oldest dog, Jake ( 16) was very bonded to her in the year they were together and he is a lost old man.

Sorry to hear your sad news.

I lost my Skye last year at a similar age. He'd also got a soul mate Fingal that we lost the year before.

It's never easy for us people but I always spare a thought for the 4 legged friends they leave behind.

Thats so tragic, and what a good age she was, despite her medical problems.
