New Kid on the Block - meet Charlie :)

I know I said I wouldn't have another dog after Loki but I couldn't refuse Charlie! He is a "dolly mixture" - Collie, Lab, Staffie and whatever else but is brilliant. Not really sure what the mix is - perhaps someone here can tell me but no matter what he is, he has helped me no end. I don't cry so much now. I know Loki wouldn't mind, I will never forget my lovely lass, Loki. I think too that she would have liked Charlie.

Charlie had rather a sad start to his young life. I remember him as a wee pup. He belonged to a young man who stayed up the drive opposite me and I would talk to him. Sadly, the chap died aged 36. Charlie was then taken in by a neighbour of mine's oldest boy (who has learning difficulties) and hardly ever walked - at 18 months his paws were still pink. The neighbours have moved back to Glasgow and I was asked if I would look after him. That was 3 weeks ago. After the first few day I had him and walked him, I knew I was going to keep him. I told the father of the boy and he said that was OK as he (the dog) would have been put out on the street!! Glad to say, Charlie's pads are now dark and he is gaining a wee bit of weight!

He and Soochie get on well together - and Soochie is now shouting Charlie come and get your toys!! Charlie's face is a study!!

Here are two photos of him (sorry for poor quality though!)

Oh and I will be back on to loo at all the lovely pooches again - my pc is playing up something awful and I must get it fixed!!

Hope you are all hail and hearty.

Hugs xx

I am so happy for both you and Charlie, Rose - he is gorgeous and I am sure Lady Loki would approve - she probably sent him to you for you to love.

Please give him a big cuddle from me (((hugs))) xx

Lovely Rose. Sounds like a bit engineering there from Loki I reckon.
I think you and Charlie were there to help each other. He is a very handsome boy. X

Thank goodness you and Charlie have found each other, so very happy for you, and I know Loki wouldn't mind one bit, the biggest compliment you can pay her is to get yourself another companion. You have more than likely saved his life! Lots of hugs and big kisses from the girlies to you
