Visiting Father Christmas is a rite of passage for every child at this time of year - and now it seems our dogs are getting in on the action, too.

This clip shows the mayhem that ensued when The Doggie Lodge, a boarding business in Wicklow, Ireland, invited Father Christmas in to meet and greet its customers.

In the super-cute video... an array of adorable pooches meet Santa for the first time and receive a festive treat.

Some react with obvious excitement by licking his face and wagging their tails, and a few happily chew away on biscuits.

Others, however, are completely disinterested, confused or even trying to wriggle away - and we're pretty sure we saw one falling asleep.
