Heamatoma after annual vaccination

Hi all I took my whippet to the vet last Thursday for her annual vac for life injection but now see a swelling on her neck where she was injected ! What do you think I should do and is the vet in her right to charge me for any treatment?
Thankyou , John.

it's a plan TW usually a one off payment of 99 quid which covers annual jabs for life.

I found this

It is common for pets to experience some or all of the following mild side effects after receiving a vaccine, usually starting within hours of the vaccination. If these side effects last for more than a day or two, or cause your pet significant discomfort, it is important for you to contact your veterinarian:

Discomfort and local swelling at the vaccination site
Mild fever
Decreased appetite and activity
Sneezing, mild coughing, "snotty nose" or other respiratory signs may occur 2-5 days after your pet receives an intranasal vaccine
More serious, but less common side effects, such as allergic reactions, may occur within minutes to hours after vaccination. These reactions can be life-threatening and are medical emergencies. Seek veterinary care immediately if any of these signs develop:
Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
Itchy skin that may seem bumpy ("hives")
Swelling of the muzzle and around the face, neck, or eyes
Severe coughing or difficulty breathing
Collapse
Veterinarians: Get the handout
What to expect after your pet's vaccination
A small, firm swelling under the skin may develop at the site of a recent vaccination. It should start to disappear within a couple weeks. If it persists more than three weeks, or seems to be getting larger, you should contact your veterinarian.

I have heard of this before, if the same site is used repeatedly for vax then a lump can develop. My dogs aren't vax and this is one of the reasons, another one being the immune system being compromised

Hope that helps, I can't say I've ever noticed any problems with any of mine tbh but they only have puppy vac's and their first booster.

Thanks guys for the input, she just has the lump where she was injected uther than that she is jumping out of her skin so would I leave it and see if it goes down ? Trouble is if I take her back to vet am sure she will say we will have to drain it and putting her through more stress, wish I had not let her have the injection as I have heard of it effecting the immune system .

You get pressured by vets to have these things, and if you don't know any different, and that primarily it is a money making thing for vets, you are going to do what they say because you think they know best, and not that they are looking forward to buying that top of the range car/new house/2nd home abroad
How old is your dog, and how long have you been vaccinating every year.
