Chloe ignores them completely which is a relief, people seem to have them at all times of the year these days I guess for birthdays etc...

Yes Meg, I am pleased to say that I am lucky with the Beagles too. After having had, many years ago, a Golden and a Cavalier that would hide, or even try to claw the walls. I now bang proof my dogs by deliberately dropping their S. Steel dishes, and by using a cap pistol, (hidden behind my back). This worked well enough for Tweed and Eddie not to have any problems with fireworks or gun steadiness tests. However, I was amazed to find that my 6 year old new girl also showed in reaction to the fireworks on Nov. 5th.
