Megan is a two-year-old Rottweiler, who is looking for a new home because her previous owners no longer wanted her.

Sadly Megan has been mistreated at some point in her past and this has left her nervous of strangers and with a tendency to bark or growl if a stranger approaches her too quickly, she is very hand shy and scares easily. Once she has reassured herself that you won't hurt her, though, she bonds quickly and loves to make human friends and is a very affectionate girl.

Megan is toilet trained, travels well in the car, can be left alone for a couple of hours without problems and is responsive to commands. She is generally fine with other dogs, but will warn a dog off if she feels threatened. She will need at least one hour of off-lead exercise every day, she has a fantastic recall and rarely wonders far from you side. She also loves being massaged all over and will roll on her back when stroked for belly rubs.

Megan is gentle, sweet-natured and quiet, she would ideally suit a calm household with not too much chaos and without children or visiting youngsters. Her new owners will need to give her patience and time to build her confidence, and plenty of love - which this affectionate girl will return tenfold. She is looking for an experienced owner who is at home for most of the day and has owned large guarding breeds before.

Megan is looking for a perfect new home, a home where she will be loved and cherished for the rest of her life.
