Just had an email and a piccie from Ookami's people (Baby Spice) she is the image of her mother. She learned how to open doors by standing on her hind legs and pushing the handle down and backing up(remember these babies aren't 5 months yet ) so they turned the handles upside down, she had that sussed by the afternoon They are talking about buying her some brain training toys, but seriously, that is a brain and a half and if they train it, no idea what will happen, could end up running the Labour Party

Oh June your post about the door made me laugh, been there and got the t-shirt. Mind you she may be better at running the country it couldn't be worse

Poor your Brenda and the post. We had that years ago and like you it was someone trying to sell something. I returned it to them without a stamp

Pleased to hear you are ok now Gordon but do take care on hight roofs we don't bounce like we use to

Well there is good news on the parcel front it has been delivered its only taken 5 weeks and 3 tries.

Oh Sue, congratulations, I think you deserve a Celebratory Meal Out, give Barry a nudge.
One of my friends rang me and she mentioned about the weather due in November, and I was laughing and saying yeah right they said that last year and it was the warmest on record...THEN she said, no she'd checked, so I have as well...OMG....http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/weat...-expected.html

Gott in Himmel Frau June! What a terrible thing to wish on a poor little puppy - just because it can open doors. Also she's very good looking and that is a no-no as far as female socialists are concerned. Most 'on 'em look like a bulldog that's just finished licking pee off a nettle! No offence meant to bulldogs! lol !
Harvey - Henhouse job is completed and haven't picked up even a small smattering of plaster of paris. Fortunately there's no sign of any of those 'elf 'n' safety boggarts on my place so I can suspend myself from ladders at all manner of rakish angles with impunity. The trouble I seem to have is walking along a "smooth" surface, such as pavements or such like. I seem to be a touch wobbly, think it may be because I'm used to walking on grass/heather where you have to make a conscious effort to place your feet safely. When the obvious need for care is removed, I think my brain switches off and I become less than steady on the old pins.
Just had another thought June - perhaps when Ookami's people mentioned getting some brain training toys it was for them - so they could try to keep up with the pup!
Back later as I have just been summoned for dinner, this place is going to the dogs - we haven't had dinner at the same time of night for weeks. Times have varied from 6.30 to 9.0 pm and all points in between. Bad show when you can't even get your mealtmes correctly co-ordinated.
See you later and as always - bye fer now! G.

Sue - Cross posted with you - Well done! A victory against the dark forces of international postal services is yours to enjoy! Must admit I was absolutely baffled by the performance, I refrained from making any comment at the time as I have little or no knowledge of these things. I somewhat naively thought you just trussed the stuff up - stuck on the stamps - and off it went - to land a few days later in the arms of a grateful recipient. Just shows how wrong I was. One thing is for sure - I'll never be sending anything to Brazil!

Evening everyone,
Glad to see you are around and not injured LG, fancy not getting your meals at the cortex time
TW Ookami is just gorgeous, her colouring actually reminds me of my neighbours malamute. The story of the door handles just made me smile, clever girl and that's without brain training toys - go her
Sue yayy the parcel has finally arrived you deserve a large glass of wine
Griff that be me wanting to know what the search lights are for
Night Brenda, hope you have a better day tomorrow
Right another cuppa before I go to bed,
