okay.... they have all had a bit of a feed by the look of it. theres so many little bodies it is really hard to tell
should i go back upstairs and try and latch them all on there is nine does she have that many nipples?

No unfortunatly not, you'll have to rotate them so they all have a feed. They will find their own way there but just make sure they all have a go

let a group have a feed then change them over....put the smallest pups on the back teats they produce the most milk,

The first feed is really important, doesn't matter how you work it out as long as they've all had some milk. After their little bellies are full they will sleep and so will mum, she must be shattered after all them babies.

thankyou all for your help. all have had a bit of milk, they aren't squeaking anymore and mum is settling a bit but still heavily breathing

nope she wont budge

when should i offer food? should i leave them for an hour then feed her and split pups into groups? what do i do with one group when the other is feeding? how long do i leave till i rotate it again?

sorry too many things lol
