Zane (GSD)

Hi All,

I've not been around for quite some time but now feels like I should be here.

Up until last Monday Zane, my GSD was fine. On Tuesday he seemed just a luttle under the weather but generally ok. Everything was normal, or so I thought. I couldn't have been more wrong!

On Friday I noticed some blood in his pee so took him to the vets. We tried antibiotics as at that point it could have been a water infection.

I had an appointment for tonight at 640pm. As we got there Zane collapsed (clinically) in the car. It took 3 of us to carry him inside.

Bloodwork showed nothing. An x-ray showed a grapefruit sized tumour on his spleen. It was the more aggressive type apparently meaning that even if he had survived surgery, he may only have had a few weeks to live, probably in pain.

Oscsr (my Son) was with me so at least he got to say goodbye to Zane. To PTS was the last and only thing left we could do for him.

Run free at the Bridge Zane. RIP xx (25/12/2007-15/12/2014).
