Urinary health question.

When i test the urine from my 5 months old puppy, it give positive on both protein and white blood cells but no nitrite.

I know puppies usually shall have some discharge before their first period, but shall this contain white blood cells?

I hope someone can advise you. I've never carried out a urine test on a dog in my life! Is this something you do as a matter of course in Norway? Or was there some health problem that prompted you to do the test?

She has had UTI earlier with crystals in the urine, and I want to test frequently in order to find out if this problem has stopped or if it has became chronic.

I see. Well I still hope someone less clueless than me will be along to give you some advice.

Meanwhile this will bump your post up a bit. Good luck.
