Have only just seen this thread. I have everything crossed that he will pull through and make a full recovery. Come on, Tai, think of all that tasty chicken.

Can only echo what others have said, it's not your fault for cutting his food down to reduce his weight. He probably would have eaten it anyway, you know what dogs are like for gluttony.

What a nightmare for you. As Wys says hopefully the plastic has been chewed into bits and will work it's way out.

My dogs have always made a beeline for the bird food, usually fat balls but yesterday one gorged on (pony's) grass pellets and is suffering the side effects now.

O bless you all guys, thanx so much for all the support for Tai. My apologies I did not get back onto the computer this morning, but I am at work in my lunchbreak and can post the following bulletin:

OH emailed me at 10.45 to say that Tai had scoffed down his cold roast chicken, rice and ab's. At 7 am this morning, we got his first tablet of the day into him smeared in raw liver juice to make him eat it - he gobbled it down, so that was good. OH says he woofed his chicken and rice down, with the ab's and at 11.45 still had not been sick. The test will be for the next hour or so until 1 pm. If by 1 pm he still has not been sick, that will be very good news.

The next text will be tonight when he has his dinner. By then, the anti emetic injection will have worn off, so if he is sick, that will be bad news. We will take him back to the vet for another injection, and then if he is sick again tomorrow night once that injection wears off, I am afraid his next veterinary trip will be his last.

Ben is being an absolute angel, hovering over him anxiously like an old mother hen, and not mobbing him up like he usually does.

I will post another bulletin when I hear from OH - I cannot tell you how lovely it is to know that you all care for Tai so much and are rooting for him, the Dogsey vibes will be reaching him I am sure!
