''Innocence of Muslims'' Protests ...

So all over the Muslim world there are protests that have resulted in deaths because someone posted a badly made film on Youtube ,,,

I really can not get my head around the whole thing...?..

They seem to be blaming the whole western world for something that was posted on Youtube ....

Anyone have an opinion ...

I know its a controversial topic but its makes no sense to me....

Bloody religions got a lot to answer for (not talking one specifically ) or at least, some of those who hide behind it certainly do.
Give people a cause to believe in, the belief they've got the moral high ground, combined with the idea they only answer to some ambiguous higher being and watch the nutcases emerge from the woodwork. It would be funny if it wasn't so destructive.

Not sure who the 'they' you say were who were waiting for an excuse?

But the story will no doubt be used as the excuse for a hell of a lot of expression of racism against all sorts of muslims.

The extremists.

The film will not need to be used as an expression of racism. What will cause that is the actions of the extremists in killing and looting etc.

Very sad.

I get very angry about reactions like this, and I'm talking about the crackpot extremists here, the ones that whip mobs up into a frenzy.

We have something called 'free speech', or we're supposed to have, as long as it doesn't upset the middle east!! There are THOUSANDS of films out there that ridicule Christians, Jews, Mormons etc and whilst most of us aren't that keen on them, I don't see many burning down embassies and killing folk over them. But say one word about Islam and all hell breaks loose, literally!!

I have friends who are muslims, I know the majority of it's followers are peaceful, well, in the west perhaps. I don't know any in the ME, but it's time the silent majority started opening their mouths and talking about how disgusting these actions are, rather than sitting back quietly and saying nothing.
